THE UPPER EAST REGIONAL CHAPTER OF THE GHANA JOURNALISTS ASSOCIATION (GJA) READY TO SUPPORT THE REGIONAL MINISTER

The Upper East Regional Chapter of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has indicated their readiness to support the Regional Minister, Hon. Paulina Patience Abayage to deliver on her mandate.

Speaking with the Regional Minister during a courtesy call, the Chapter’s President, Mr. Eric Amoh said they will work closely with Hon. Abayage as happened in the past.
He explained that they did not doubt her neutrality to bring all and sundry on board and therefore pledged to provide the necessary support through publicity in order to push the region to the next level.

The association also pleaded with the Minister to help them furnish their office space to serve as a motivation to their members in the course of delivering their responsibilities.

The Hon. Minister thanked the association for paying a courtesy call on her indicating that she owed her persona to the relationship she has had with the media which has broaden her horizon.

She said the media is a powerful tool that must be handled well to market the Upper East Region so as to attract potential investors to the region.

Hon. Abayage charged the practitioners of the inky fraternity in the region to be circumspect in their reportage in order not to scare the potential investors away.

She said the Upper East Region is a very beautiful one with over ten distinct ethnic groupings that makes it unique in the country especially the manner in which they dwell peacefully.

The executives include Mr. Eric Amoh the Chairman, his Vice Mr. Osman Muntawakilu, Mad. Fati Astange the Treasurer, Mr. Emmanuel Akagite and Hamid Alhandu as Trustees.
